Hammer Bro & Relatives

Hammer Bros. are taller, helmeted Koopa Troopas that can toss hammers that arc into the air. They have appeared in multiple games since Super Mario Bros. They also have various "cousins" or variations:

Boomerang Bro: Throws boomerangs that return to the thrower.
First Appearance: Super Mario Bros 3.


Fire Bro: Throws fireballs that bounce.
First Appearance: Super Mario Bros 3.


Ice Bro: Throws arcing ice balls that freeze Mario on contact.
First Appearance: New Super Mario Bros Wii.


Sledge Bro: Throws sledgehammers and can perform Mario-stunning Ground Pounds.
First Appearance: Super Mario Bros 3.
