Rexes are dinosaur- and/or dragon-like enemies from Super Mario World. They walk towards Mario like Goombas, but when stomped they only become half-squashed and begin running faster. A second stomp is required to defeat it. Else, a Spin Jump, shell or fireball can defeat them instantly. Although they possess small wings, they do not use them, perhaps because they can't.
